Rachael Hardy is the grower and floral designer behind The Love Garden, an organic flower farm, garden and floral design studio in the Gold Coast Hinterland.

With a background in organic farming, horticulture and floristry, Rachael’s practice brings together growing, floral design and her interest in landscape design. Central to her work is the ongoing creation of The Love Garden as both a productive growing system and an immersive, beautiful place to live, work and play.

For Rachael, growing flowers is about more than producing a commodity. It is about creating a biodiverse environment for her family, supplying distinctive seasonal materials to the local floral community and inspiring others to plant a seed and grow a garden of their own.

Influenced by organic and regenerative agriculture, she sees growing as a practical and hopeful response to a changing climate. Her natural, rambling floral work reflects the shapes, colours and movement found in the garden, bringing together farm-grown flowers, locally sourced botanicals and ethically foraged materials.

Through The Love Garden, Rachael hopes to inspire people to slow down, pay attention to nature and recognise the stories held within flowers, gardens and the landscapes from which they come.
